Quiet Harbour by Rachel Thomas. In subtle tones of blue and green with hints of lavender and pale pink.
Rachel Thomas has been a professional artist for over 20 years and has exhibited extensively. Her work is in collections in Barbados, Australia, South Africa and America.
Rachel first moved from Oxford to the Norfolk coast when she was 13 years old and was instantly mesmerised by the sea and continues to be. She is always trying to find new vantage points in which to capture the scene and has worked out of train carriages, supply ships, the Hebridean Princess, the Waverley and more recently Winterton Lighthouse. Her work concentrates on colour and patterns in nature.
Rachel loves painting the endless view across the sea from the lighthouse and finding the beauty in the industrial landscape that is Great Yarmouth Harbour.
Rachel was a member of the Great Yarmouth Society of Artists for 20 years and is the current chairwoman of a newly formed art group E.C.A, Eastern Contemporary Artists. She is also a candidate member of EAGMA, East Anglian Group of Marine Artists.
