Flame Red Poppy and Art Deco by Carol Nunan. Carols’ inspiration is the Northumbrian landscape – the flora and fauna, the iconic castles, pre- and post-Roman archaeology and the landscapes and geology of the Great Whin Sill which lies just across the Tyne Valley from her studio. Carol gathers her ideas in sketch books, on camera and in her mind’s eye before returning to her studio to create her intricately detailed prints.
