LISA ALMOND

Lisa Almond draws inspiration from the land, sea and sky. Having lived in the mountains and by the sea, these powerful elements have heavily influenced her work.

Lisa’s paintings have an earthy feel to them; her work sometimes appears more about shape and the relationship it has with the canvas. Music plays a huge part in her creative process and the artist allows the painting to reveal itself naturally and without question, similarly to meditation.

Using acid free tissue paper in a sculptural way, adding layers of paint, Lisa often removes layers to expose underlying colours. Wishing to convey a feeling of peace while exploring colour and movement, the artist gives the observer an insight into the artistic process; to reveal the layers through which they were created.

Lisa’s final pieces are beautifully atmospheric, creating an ambiance in their presence. Masterly crafted and elegantly finished her work draws attention from visitors. Exhibited at Riverside Art & Glass, Wroxham.
